PI Group becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of AMEC
On the 23 January 2009, PI (Performance Improvements) Group became a wholly owned subsidiary of AMEC, the international engineering and project management company. Steve Wright, who remains as PI Group's Managing Director, said of the change, "I am delighted that the transaction gives us the opportunity to expand our capabilities internationally, with the support of AMEC's reputation, global infrastructure and international client base. This is a good opportunity for an entrepreneurial business such as PI to achieve more of our immediate growth potential as part of a world class oil and gas services company."
