Compression Optimisation

Gas compression systems are one area where typical design engineers tend to feel uncomfortable and rely a great deal on the equipment supplier. This is certainly the case when it comes to issues such as capacity and anti-surge control as well as load sharing. However, the supplier is primarily only interested in his equipment and not too much about the interfacing processing system. The result - designs which have inherent deficiencies due to a lack of integration. This invariably leads to operational problems, which are usually regarded as 'incurable' and have to be lived with. This results in an operation where the requirement for frequent manual intervention and the acceptance of high downtime becomes the norm.

PI's team are well aware of these issues and have a wealth of experience in fixing problematic compression systems, usually by identifying low cost solutions. Pay back can be very quick, sometimes measured in days.
